Report on Child and Forced Labor

The US Department of Labor’s International Labor Affairs Bureau (ILAB) Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor, and Human Trafficking issues an annual report to raise public awareness about the existence of child labor and forced labor in the production of goods in the countries listed and to spawn efforts to eradicate these practices.

Successful eradication of child and forced labor must include the collection of accurate data, enactment of comprehensive legal frameworks consistent with international standards, vigorous enforcement of child labor and forced labor laws, improved identification of victims, adoption and implementation of protective policy measures, strengthening of social protection systems, and robust preventative actions.  The success of these efforts turns on the commitment and dedication of governments, the private sector, workers and civil society stakeholders, consumers, and others.
