Day 2: A Prayer to Shut Down the Sex Trafficking Industry
“We must begin to believe that God, in the mystery of prayer, has entrusted us with a force that can move the heavenly world, and can bring its power down to earth.” ― Andrew Murray
Dear Gracious Father,
Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. (Jas. 5:17-18) Surely you listen and hear our prayers. (Ps. 66:19) I know that what is impossible with man is possible with you (Lk. 18:27). So today I am praying for a miracle. I ask that you would shut down the industry of sex trafficking in our nation and around the world. Confuse the wicked and confound their words, frustrate their plans so they will not succeed. (Ps. 55:9) Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to you, LORD, and you will have mercy on them. (Is. 55:7) You, LORD, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror. (Ps. 10:17-18) Jesus, your life is the light of all mankind. Your light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (Jn. 1:4-5) Bring this wickedness to an end, I pray. You are able! In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
