31 Days of Prayer for Victims and Survivors of Human Trafficking – Day 17

Day 17: A Prayer for Victory Over the Enemy

“Your enemy is standing on your God-given ground daring you to take possession of it.” – Beth Moore

Dear God,

I acknowledge that the evil industry of human trafficking is more than a physical crime. It’s spiritual warfare. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. As I pray in the Spirit with all kinds of prayers and requests [on behalf of victims and survivors of human trafficking], I choose to put on your full armor in order to stand my ground against the enemy’s schemes. (Eph. 6:11-13,18) You already disarmed the powers and authorities and put them to shame, triumphing over them by the cross. (Col. 2:15) You are a warrior! The Lord is your name! Your right hand shatters the enemy. In the greatness of your majesty you throw down those who oppose you. You unleash your burning anger; it consumes them like stubble. You are the great I AM! That is your name forever. You are light to those who sit in darkness. Bring them out into the light. Then the enemy will be covered in shame. Amen. (Ex. 15:3, 6-7; Ex. 3:14-15; Mic. 7:8-10)
